Bramble Bottom Farms is a vibrant art hub where creativity blossoms. Offering a wide range of art instruction in mediums like batik, basketry, card making, ceramics, drawing, and painting (acrylic, oil, and watercolor),and many more. We cater to all age groups from 5 years to retirees. Immerse yourself in a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere and unlock your artistic potential in our art studio.
At www.bramblebottomfarms.com, we strive to provide the best art instruction. Our friendly instructors are both knowledgeable and interested in your growth as an artist. We believe that art is for everyone, and we understand that each student might not be at the same starting point, but they can all achieve in their own way through structured art lessons. Our services are geared towards the life long artistic learner and the spontaneous learner. We have multiple week courses that teach step based skills, as well as the pop up classes that teach one project at a time. We want you to expand your knowledge of art while having the time of your life!
Watercolor classes-
Watercolor 1—This course will introduce the student to the basic techniques of watercolor. Projects will be based on these techniques, and the products created will not be completed pieces of art. Art Instruction in techniques that will be covered include wet-on-wet, water washes, dry-on-wet, resist, color theory, splatter, stencil, and others.
Watercolor 2- This course will take the student through completed projects using watercolor. The projects that will be covered are; flowers, landscapes, barns, seascapes, etc.
Drawing Classes_
Drawing 1 will be a course designed for the beginner to take them through the many different methods and aspects of drawing so that they can find the method that suits them best. Art instruction covered will include but are not limited to; line, shape, elliptical, upside down, grid, quadrant, gesture, and proportion drawing. Learning to deal with methods to add value to their drawings will be covered. This will be a five-week course and will be 2 hour long sessions. Drawing 2 will be a course designed for the student that has already discovered their method of drawing and is ready to apply their method to actual projects. A padlet of ideas will be the starting point for each student’s-self-paced discovery. Each student will choose their projects and will have guidance from the teacher along the process. This will be an ongoing weekly class.
Batik classes-
Students will learn the ancient fabric technique of wax resist called Batik. They will experience applying wax to linen fabric as well as silk fabric. Dye techniques and different dye types will be covered. This will be a 5 -week class with 2 completed projects.
Colored Pencil classes-
This course will be a 5-week course where students will receive art instruction covering different techniques to use with colored pencils. Brands of colored pencils will be discussed, as well as the following techniques related to colored pencils: stippling, hatching, back and forth, cross-hatching, rendering, tick-hatching, layering, and burnishing. Students will need to bring in some pictures they would like to try out.
Jewelry making basics
This course is designed to teach students the basic techniques and terms used in creating simple jewelry. The course will be a one-class course. All supplies will be provided unless you wish to create something with your own beads. The cost for the class will be $35 per student.
Wet Felting- Coming soon
Wheel Throwing- This is a 4 -week course on learning all there is to know about throwing pottery on the wheel, the clay stages, and the glazing process.
Hand Built Pottery_ This is a 6-week course on hand-building techniques, ( pinch, slab, and coil), the stages of clay, and the glaze process.

Plan a night full of fun for you and your friends by scheduling your private party or by attending one that is placed on the calendar for the month. Feel free to contact Tia Litke if you want to schedule a special event. (Note that the sip section of the party will be all up to you as I do not have a license to serve alcohol). I will however have coffee cups and desserts available for purchase the night of the event.

Plan a special birthday party for someone special to you!. All parties can be geared towards the age and interest of the birthday party. Kids' art studio instruction is my specialty! Please feel free to contact Tia Litke to schedule your special event. We have connections to a baker if interested in their services.

Mug Making
How cool would it be to create something of your own that you can use every day? In this course, students will have art instruction on how to use the slab method and stencils to create their very own coffee mug. This course will take two classes two hours each separated by a couple of weeks. In the first two-hour course the students will create their very own mug using the slab and stencil technique, and in the second session two weeks later they will be learning about glazing their mugs. Students may use underglazes or regular glazes to complete their projects. The students will be notified at a later date when to come and pick up their completed mug after the firing has been completed.

Ocarina Flute
In this course, students will have art instruction on how to make a clay ocarina. A type of flute developed in ancient times in South America. They will learn a brief history of the Aztecs and will learn how to use the pinch pot technique to create a working flute in clay. Students will need to do a little research ahead of time and come up with an idea already planned out for their flute. A resource Padlet will be emailed to students before the class so that they can figure out their plan of action for their project.
This course will take three two-hour sessions and will be spread out over weeks due to the nature of firing clay. Students will watch a lecture and make the clay flute base the first week. In the second week, they will make their flute unique by adding clay details, and in the third week will be glazing their piece. Students will be contacted when their clay project is completed for pickup.

Clay name-designed tile
In this course, students will have art instruction on how to make Islamic-styled name-design tiles. The students will watch a presentation on Islamic art and design. This course will take three 2-hour sessions spread out over a couple of weeks due to the nature of firing clay. The first week will be the introduction and creation of the name design. The second will be transferring the design to clay and underglaze. The third will be used to complete the under-glazing. All participants will be notified by email when to collect their final piece of art.
The cost for the class is $65
Clay bird feeders
In this course, students will have art instruction on the slab construction method and decoration techniques of clay. They will create a simple bird feeder that hangs from a tree. The course will take two two-hour classes spread out over two weeks. The first lesson will be on slab construction and detailing of clay. the second course will be approximately a week later due to the nature of firing the clay. The second session will be used for the students to glaze their finished project. Students will be notified by email once their projects are ready to be picked up.
The cost for the course is $35
This will be a 10-week course offered one day a week for two hours a session in our kids art studio. 5 famous artists will be discussed. A padlet for each artist will be emailed to each student ahead of time to speed up the student's project ideation. They will look through the padlet on their own to get ideas ahead of the lesson. A short lecture will be given to the students to begin the lesson. The students will come up with their ideas in the first session and will be given their work to take home to work on. The second week the students will be introduced to different mediums and then they will begin working on the completion of their art. Students will take home their art and complete it on their own. The next session will be on another famous artist. The cycle will repeat the same until the ten-week session is complete. Students will have access to art supplies in the shop but may need to have their supplies as they work at home.

The students will Practice skills learned for the day in class, Students will take home their art and complete it on their own. The next session will be on another type of drawing technique. The cycle will repeat the same until the ten-week session is complete. Students will have access to art supplies in the shop but may need to have their own supplies as they work at home.
The cost for this course is $150 upfront, or can be paid for by each session $15 per art session.
Drawing techniques covered are: shape vs contour, (seeing the lines or shapes), elliptical drawing, upside down drawing, facial proportions, body proportions, grid drawing, still life drawing, and shading
This will be a 5-week course offered one day a week for two hours a session of art instruction. 4 clay projects will be discussed. A padlet for each project will be emailed to each student ahead of time to speed up the student's project ideation. They will look through the padlet on their own to get ideas ahead of the lesson. A short lecture will be given to the students to begin the lesson. The students will come up with their ideas in the first session and will watch demonstrations on techniques. They will begin their projects and then wrap them up to work on in the next session. The second week the students will be continuing the work on their project. After the second session, they will be allowed to take their project home and then bring them back on the next session to be fired. The next session will be on another project. The cycle will repeat the same until the ten-week session is complete The last weeks are for completing projects with glaze or paint. Students will have access to art supplies in the shop but may need to have their supplies as they work at home.

This will be a 10-week course offered one day a week for two hours a session. Students will get art instruction on 5 African Art projects. A padlet for each project will be emailed to each student ahead of time to speed up the student's project ideation. They will look through the padlet on their own to get ideas ahead of the lesson. A short lecture will be given to the students to begin the lesson. The students will come up with their ideas. They may take their art home to continue working on their designs, but not on finishing them because, in the second week, the students will be continuing the work on their project. After the second session, they will be allowed to take their project home. The cycle will repeat the same until the ten-week session is complete. The next session will be on another project. Students will have access to art supplies in the shop but may need to have their supplies as they work at home.

Little kid's camp is set up to be a daily experience with art instruction. The course will last 10 weeks and in that 10 weeks, the kids will experience 10 different lessons geared to their level of art. Many times the art lessons will be based on children's books and stories.
In week one, children will experience the joy of mixing paint. They will be introduced to a book called " I ain't gonna paint no more!".
Week 2 the children will experience learning about the parts of plants and will read a book called " Tops and Bottoms" They will learn about watercolor painting.
In week 3 the students will learn about cardinal directions. They will get to pretend to be pirates and will make a pirate map with oil pastels.
Week 4 The students will read a book called " How do dinosaurs say goodnight" They will make a dinosaur puppet.
Week 5 The students will read " Where the Wild Things Are" and will make crazy creatures.
Week 6 The students will read "Harold and the Purple Crayon and learn to draw a city with lines.
Week 7 is crazy Claymation week.
Week 8 My pet lizard sculpture
Week 9 The students will read 'Raven the Trickster Tale and will use shapes to create their own Northwest Inuit animal.
Week 10 In-house art show. Each student will bring their two favorite pieces to place in the art show and celebration. a mini-lesson will be held that day at the beginning. ( Surprise)
