Tia Litke – Art Teacher & Studio Owner

Hello, my name is Tia Litke, I have a B.A. in Art Education from the University of West Georgia. I have worked thirty years as an Art Teacher with many age levels from kindergarten to adults. ( I AM CERTIFIED WITH THE STATE OF GEORGIA TO TEACH KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THE A.P. LEVEL.) I have decided that now is my time to break out on my own for a new adventure. I want to test the waters with my own creations and try teaching on a private level. 

So, here we go! 

Art is my life! It is a talent that I received as a gift from God. It has served as my way to express thoughts, emotions, fears, and beliefs, as well as helped me manage stress. I hope that I can teach people that art is for everyone, and that experimentation with supplies is often just as important as the results. When we stretch out and commit to trying new mediums, techniques, and ideas, we grow, and when we can participate in it as a group, it is always more enjoyable! I believe that every bit of knowledge gained increases a person’s potential. I enjoy watching the light of creativity come to life in the eyes of the people I teach and seeing the building confidence of my students as they open up to new knowledge. 

To me, there is nothing more exciting than experimenting with art. Art is about having fun and enjoying the experience. I hope you get to join me in my new journey!
